In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to use Korean ink wash techniques alongside charcoal to create expressive forms, movement, texture and tonal depth. Rather than relying on detailed outlines, you’ll explore the expressive qualities of brushwork, washes, dry-brush marks and charcoal to capture the character and presence of an Australian animal.
You’ll be guided through simple techniques using brushes, ink and charcoal, with plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop your own style. No previous drawing or painting experience is required.
