Narsha Kang is a contemporary figurative artist based in regional Victoria whose practice draws on the expressive traditions of Korean ink wash painting, 수묵화.

Working mainly across charcoal and ink, she explores human and animal figures through gesture, tonal contrast and negative space. Her work combines expressive marks with quiet, open passages to evoke presence, vulnerability and emotional tension.

Her practice spans both studio works and public murals, demonstrating how a consistent visual language can be adapted across different materials and environments. Through exhibitions, public commissions, and community workshops, Kang continues to investigate the relationship between tradition, contemporary expression, and the shared experience of being human.
